How Does Telephone Checks Work?
Step by Step
- The customer’s account information is entered into our easy-to-use Telephone Check software. Our software prompts your staff to extract the MICR line information from the customer, which contains the checking account number, bank routing number and check number needed to process the transactions electronically.
- This data is transmitted in real-time via our secure web site and processed by our high-speed web hosted software which is safely accessed from a standard web browser.
- Using CHECKredi’s WEB based software this information is used to create an electronic ‘substitute’ check payment.
- The funds are processed through the ACH, electronically debited from the customer’s account and available in your bank account within 24 to 48 hours, alleviating a trip to the bank.
